Last month, I posted a blog that highlighted the different materials that are used for all the games within the Montessori Physical Education curriculum. After combing through all the lessons, I recorded and organized all the equipment used, and made some categories based on which materials were used the most. In this way, if you have limited budget to buy materials, you knew which materials would provide the most game options right off the bat. I don’t know what took me so long to make this list. It’s one of the most asked questions after every conference I present at. In fact, I received a couple emails from my WMA 2022 conference with this very question, I set off quickly to make a list not only for the attendees, but everyone else who has downloaded and purchased MPE lessons. The blog post was a hit, with hundreds of views on the day it was posted.
A couple days later, I was showing a colleague the types of hula-hoops I like to use, and I went to the blogpost to show her. She clicked on the picture of the hula-hoops, and nothing happened. In that moment, I realized that my equipment list was far less useful than I thought it was. When you are surfing the web, less steps is better. While I had been proud of the blogpost and thought it was genuinely helpful, a really good equipment list would not only show you which materials to buy, but would actually link to those items as well. So, here is version 2.0.
I went through the recommendation list and actually added links to the actual materials I use and would recommend. This way, all you have to do is click on the image and it will take you right to the link for purchase.
Full disclosure, I am participating in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. Basically, if enough people click the links and use them to buy their material, I receive compensation by referring the business to them. So, if you are going to use my recommendations, I would be very grateful if you used the links through the Montessori Physical Education website to purchase.
On a different note, the Montessori Physical Education Facebook page has recently achieved having over 1500 like our page! To show my appreciation, let’s throw a 15% off sale to commemorate the milestone!
