This year, I have the honor of presenting at the Celebrating Our Montessori Children conference on January 9th. The conference is hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse Extended Learning program. My session is called Supporting STEM and Culture in the Montessori PE Classroom, and I will be presenting from 2:30-3:45 Pm Central Time. Having presented at this conference for some years now, and I always looked forward to travelling up to Wisconsin, but unfortunately this year, that is not an option because of Covid. My loss is your gain! The conference is virtual this year, so we are not constrained by space or distance, so many more people have the opportunity to attend.
Here is a link that not only contains information on the schedule and the presenters, but also how to register. The fee is $140 for Attendees and $55 for full-time students. Besides my session, there are a lot more interesting topics that will be covered. Plus, attendees can receive continuing education units (CEUs), which some professionals may need for their teaching license maintenance or other associations. Make sure to check with your individual organization on eligibility.
Sorry I have been away for awhile blog-wise, but winter break is always one of my busiest times with so many family birthdays (including my son who just turned 2!), as well as the holidays. However, we are back in session virtually for the first two weeks to serve as a school-wide quarantine after the holidays, so I’m back to my normal work routine. Speaking of work, I will post a new lesson to the free resources section based on the changing of seasons very soon.
