The Complete Collection: Volumes I-IV
August 10th, 2018.
This was the date of my first blog post on a newly created website called Montessori Physical Education. When I first pressed publish, I didn’t know what to expect. I naively thought that people might instantly start reading and reacting to the blog. Everyone can see if it’s on the internet, and billions of people are on Earth. Like a scene out of the Matrix, I imagined Montessorians everywhere immediately being alerted and downloading my blog. Those delusions of grandeur quickly evaporated. That’s not how the internet works. There are 250,000 new websites made every day! Coming back to reality, I realized this was a proverbial journey of a thousand miles. This blog was only the first step. From then on, I tried to post a blog every week. Counting this one, this is number 179.
In that time frame, there have been tens of thousands of visitors and hundreds of thousands of page views to the website. Over 1500 people are using my lessons, whether from free downloads or volume purchases from the website. Someone from every US state has downloaded a free lesson plan. The international response has also been fantastic. When I look at analytics, people from over a hundred countries have seen something from the website. Our humble Facebook page has close to 1800 likes and 1900 followers. Thousands of people have also downloaded or purchased lessons from the TpT store. All I can say is, “thank you.”
To date, I have released four volumes of lessons, each containing about thirty lessons. At one point, I had the first three volumes bundled together. I released a fourth volume and a collection of classroom simulation lessons months later. Before adding the fourth volume to the collection, I used professional editing software to check grammar and added diagrams to every lesson. With the beginning of 2023, I am happy to announce that all four bundles and the classroom simulations are now all put together. This collection has over one hundred and fifty lessons and over a thousand pages of content! This collection has everything. And the best part? It is only $59.
If you have not purchased any of my work before, check out the free downloads section of the website to get some examples. Imagine having over 150 new lessons with your students, whether you are a classroom teacher who has to teach PE too or a PE teacher new to Montessori. Even if you are a PE teacher in a traditional setting, I’m sure there content that your students would love as well. It is worth it from a stress reduction perspective, with no more worrying about what lesson to teach next. I hope that as you play the games with your students, you will see firsthand how your students will love learning through play.
